Hundreds of thousands of Hindus descended upon a temple in Kathmandu Nepal for the worlds largest sacrificial slaughter of animals in the world. This event takes place every 5 years to protect them from evil and promote prosperity. The event has taken place for years, It is their custom and religious right.
Here is my take on the whole thing, not that I agree but I see much worse being ignored in the US. The animals in Nepal probably grew up very happy and well tended to. Unlike the animals that are grown here that are caged filled with growth hormones and antibiotics.
Yes it seems like a huge number of animals, and it is for one place. The accusations of cruelty always arise when anything involves death. These animals would be killed for food anyway whether it happens in one place or not.
In the US we allow companies that mass grow animals in cramped conditions this is cruelty in it’s own right. How these animals are slaughtered is unthinkable. Why we eat this poison food I don’t know.
So hundreds of thousands of Hindus coming together and every five years to kill their dinner together and party I don’t have a problem with. Fix what we do first.
