Who doesn’t love to see babies playing? Ok, watching human babies can be so fun as they jump and run but, what about a group of baby orangutans? Those lil guys have to be a blast! Can you imagine how much energy they put out in a day? Little alone how hard it must be to keep them entertained! You can’t just flip on a DVD and think a baby orangutan will want to watch a Disney movie all day…they need toys! Not just any toys but the rough and tumble kind.
Some rescued baby orangutans at the International Animal Rescue’s orangutan centre in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, just got a new playground. They have tubes, tires, swings, and balls. Click over to the International Animal Rescue Blog , to see some pictures of their new area top “monkey around in”.

It is a real shame that humans are taking away the natural habitat of these wonderful animals. All of these animals should be able to roam free and swing around trees in the wild but, since humans just can’t understand their greed…at least these orangutans do have people to watch over them and do everything they can to give them an enriched life.
