Police in Milwaukee went to serve a simple search warrant and ended up finding a “zoo”.
Apparently police went to a home on the south side and were met at the door by 4 dogs. 2 of which were large and scary. That led police to shoot 2 of the Mastiffs. Once they got past the dogs they found even more animals.
A neighbor said the home was being occupied by someone believed to be in the exotic animal trade.
Umm, I would say that since the police found snakes, turtles, and alligators that someone in the home was involved in exotics. They didn’t just find a couple of critters…they found hundreds!
The news video says that a 2nd home was also search and even more animals were found.
They did contact the local zoo and are making plans to find new living arrangements for the animals but, that will have to wait. The home for now is boarded up so, no one can enter. It seems the animals must have been in cages and fine to stay there until things can be figured out. I always thought of Milwaukee as just a little spot where LaVern and Shirley lived. I never imagined that I would be hearing about alligators in homes there.
