We have all been stung by a bee, maybe even heard of bees attacking a human or a curious cat but, I don’t see many stories of horses being attack by bees.

Firefighters in Prescott, Arizona were called out to help some horses that were being stung by thousands of bees. Firefights used water and foam to spray in hopes of getting the bees off of the horses or all out killing the bees.
You can see the full details of this animal story at Bee swarm attacks three horses.

You will see in the story that out of 100 horses on the property only 3 were being attacked by the bees. The odd thing is that the 3 horses being attacked were new to the property…is it possible that the bees thought they were intruders because they didn’t recognize their smell or face?

I only ask that because back in February I posted the article Honey Bees Remember Your Face. Maybe these bees are far smarter than we ever thought!
