It never ceases to amaze me what great lengths people will go to just to harm an animal.
So while looking through list of animal news today, I found a link to a video that I wanted to share with you.
FYI – When I first saw the video I though that an animal had accidentally found some garbage and ended up hurting itself. But, that is not the case.
Here it is, someone is purposely cutting Budweiser beer cans in 1/2, and taking the top off. They then must catch a seagull and place the can over the birds head and it is left on as a “collar”. This has to be scary for the bird and I would think the bird would not be able to eat or drink since it can not bend its neck.
Thank goodness the people at Wild Rescue California have been able to catch some of these seagulls and remove the “death collar”.

I really hope they catch whoever is doing this and help find a way to occupy the persons time. Maybe the person could spend a few hours days years picking up garbage so they can possibly help save some other animals rather than just hurt them.
i am sure the person could also learn a few things from volunteering to help with abused animals. Shelters and sanctuaries always need help.
So if you were the judge and the person responsible was brought in front of you…what would you think their punishment should be?
