Most animal lovers will not be surprised by this story of how a group of Chimpanzees comforted their dieing friend.
Some may be amazed that chimps are not just wild beast that swing from trees without a care in the world except where is their next meal coming from. So for any of you people that may think this way…then you should go take a look at the story and watch the video at Chimps grieve when faced with death.
It tells the story of a 60 year old chimp with an uncureable illness as she faces her last little time on earth. The other chimps groom her, sit by her side, continue to check on her…. I almost got tears as they tell how this dieing mother took all the energy she had to climb into her daughters nest. As if she were wanting to see her face just 1 more time before she leaves this earth.
