No matter what anyone thinks of zoos, I hope we can all agree that there is a place for some of the work they do.
I know that many people would love to see that all animals run free and no animal would ever live in an enclosure. I also think that zoos have a place to help educate people about wild animal and some zoos have rescued animals that would possibly have died if not for their intervention. Yes, it is kind of a catch 22.
So on the positive side today, I want to share a page with you that highlights some of the animals rescued by zoos. These animals are cute, cuddly, and alive today thanks to the efforts of some caring humans. Ok, a couple of the animals pictured are not all that cute in a “fuzzy lovie” kind of way. ;-)
