Today at Discovery News you can learn how forensic DNA was used to identify a wolf serial killer suspect. It is the first time that DNA has helped to reveal a possible wolf killer. The suspect, a man living in the Liguria region of Italy, is still on trial there. Killing wolves is a crime in Italy, due to the canine’s population decline over the years, so the suspect poacher is facing either a prison sentence or a fine if convicted.
