When I pop over to see animal news headlines, I never know what I will find. This story I am about to link to…takes the cake on weird animal stories.
A private beach in Russia thought they would attract people by pulling off a huge advertising stunt. To bad this stunt involved animal abuse. These bright entrepreneurs decided to get a parachute & strap a live donkey to it. *shakes head in confusion*
The article says that the donkey was so high in the air that kids ask why did someone tie a doggy to a parachute. Yes, it was so high that a full sized donkey looked the size of a dog. Wait it gets better.
Police said that the donkey was screaming & kids were crying but, people on the beach took pictures & called the news but people didn’t call the police. Maybe the people that go to that beach are no brighter than the entrepreneurs that dreamed up this “advertising”.
The donkey was drug several meters when it landed & was not in the best of health.
Really, not in the best of health? Lets just guess that stress of an animal not meant to have it’s feet off the ground was flying from a parachute might cause problems. Even though I don’t have any type of veterinarian degree…I’d still bet money that my guess is right.
This is the type of thing that just makes me want to slap someone. Hmmm, maybe we could take all of the advertisers & the onlookers that did nothing & tie them to a parachute. Oh, I’ll let you figure out the rest.

Since this story of the donkey was attached to a parasail there have been numerous people just mad as ever. We have also found out a bit about this donkey that was used for the stunt by real @sses.
The donkeys name is Anapka and is 17 years old. She has also found a new home where she will live with all 4 hooves on the ground. I think her flying days are over.
She has been rescued by some wonderful people. In fact there are many offers to adopt the ol girl. You can read the update on this at Parasailing donkey to fly no more, enjoy good life. We love when a bad animal story is updated with good news.
I just wish that all animal abuse stories had happy endings for the animal.
I did not see any info as to what happened to the jerks that put the donkey through this torture. Yes, I still have some ideas of what might teach them a lesson about how to treat animals.
