Going to the dog park with you’re favorite pooch can be so much fun. That is until you step in a big pile of poo..that isn’t so cool.

Many times at the dog park people do pick up after their dogs but, there are those that really might just need a little reward for disposing of the poo pile. That is where something cool like Park Spark comes in.

What is Park Spark? No, it’s not a contraption that zaps people when their dog poops. Although that could be really fun to watch…you have 60 seconds to run over and pick up the poo or you get a zap. Watch those people run across a huge park to get the poo before time runs out. LOL!

Ok, enough joking around. The Park Spark is a “public methane digestor”. This handy dandy digestor is helping the environment…I think it is mostly bringing awareness. While your at the park you can deposit your dogs poop into the Park Spark magic machine and turn the handle to let it drop in and walla…the cute street lamp lights up. It is usising the methane gas to produce energy to light the lamp. You can read all about it at Pooch Park Powered by Poop.

So far this is the first one I have read about and I won’t likely get to see it in person as it is in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Do you think people that normally wouldn’t pick up their dog poop will do it now, if the light comes on as a reward (kind of like clicker training)?
