While flipping through the news stories today, I saw something that always catches my eye. It mentioned animals and a web cam. Yes, I love animal cams. I was even happier when I opened up the story and knew who they were talking about. In fact it is one of my favorite live animals cams. I even follow them on Facebook.

Now, you can go over to the News Sun story titled Web cam offers window into animals’ natural world. They have a bit of information from talking to the owners of this web cam.

I will tell you what I know about Florida Wildlife Cam. This is a cam that is all natural. They do not have animals in cages or pens so, you just never know what may walk into the frame. They do put out food and they did have a little swimming pool out. Oh, and the swimming pool has been know to have anything from a turtle to a bear taking a bath. Anyway, they have had a variety of animals pop through their little piece of nature somewhere in Florida. You have the chance to see deer, opossums, raccoons, wild turkeys, a bobcat, a HUGE wild hog, bears and I am sure I am forgetting some, so just watch and see what comes by. Out of all the animals I have seen on the live cam, the opossums and the raccoons are the funniest. The hog and bear were super cool as I have neither of those animals around where I have ever lived.

When you go to the Ustream site to watch the cam you will get to see that sometimes there are several people chatting. Some of them have spent a lot of time watching the cam and can help answer questions you have about the animals. If you happen to see them talking about Hook and Shoot..they are the guys that own the land and run the cam.

Ok, I know you are in a hurry to get over there and check out all the wildlife so go on. Just remember to also give them a LIKE on Facebook Florida Wildlife Cam.

Have fun on your wild safari.
