People visiting Vancouver’s False Creek, on May 5, 2010, had the chance to see something very unique.

They had a grey whale wonder into the area, swimming right around the shore and boats. They believe the whale is making its yearly trip back to Alaska and may have been looking for a meal.

I think it’s very likely that the whale just wanted to go visit Science World. They do open their new exhibit on May 7th called Treasure. Maybe the whale was going to get a bit of info about underwater treasure and pirates?

On Grey whale wanders into downtown Vancouver, they have some nice aerial footage of the whale just swimming around, to the delight of many onlookers. They say the whale has since moved on and they hope it is finding its way out into the open waters away from busy boating areas.
