The other day we posted a few tips to keep your cat safe during the holidays. Today we have a few ways you can help protect your dog from getting sick because they have gotten into the wrong food.
Everyone knows that when you have visitors they may not really know what a dog can eat or can’t eat. If your guest are going to be children then I suggest that you take the time to explain to the kids why they should NOT feed the dog certain foods. Just telling them not to do it may not work. Yet, most kids would not want the dog to be sick so, let the kids know what can happen if they sneak a snack to the pooch.
I bet the kids will become more conscientious of the dog ‘treats’ than many of the adults. You may see the children correcting the parents. Sorry but, kids are better at doing the ‘dog treat watch’. ;-)
