Today I read an article at Discovery News that struck me.
It was saying that University studies show that horses remember people for a long time, much like they do with other horses in their “family”. That means they remember the people that treated them nice & the ones that treated them poorly. They also found that horses respond to positive training where they were rewarded with food better than horses that were trained with without.

That leads me to wonder what are the Wild horses going to hold in their memories after the have been chased & corralled by the BLM? These same horses are then split from their families. Some of the mares the BLM captures & sell could have been part of the same herd for all of their life.
The above story ends with the quote “Horses can be very forgiving, but they never forget.”
Is the BLM pushing the line of asking these animals to forgive?
