Have you come across a website that is promoting animal abuse? The site could be pictures, videos, text…about harming animals. Anything you truly believe is in someway promoting or bragging about harming any animals.
There are ways to report the site that that are going to get things done and ways that will only hurt the effort to catch the people behind the abuse. Please just hold your breath as you follow the proper way to handle it. Yes, I know you would just as soon go straight to the site and give them a piece of your mind but, that will NOT help the animals being hurt. You need to follow procedure and get the proper people involved.
To find out how one person handled a site that was promoting animal abuse you can go to Reporting Internet Animal Abuse and Crimes. Here you will read how the person was fired up mad just like you or I would be when they discovered a website that was promoting animal cruelty. They wanted to have a go at the owner and participants of the site (even though the writer wanted to go after them verbally, I would have wanted to hunt them down and beat them). Thankfully, they found the right people to report the site to and they took the time to gather all the info they could so the report would give the authorities more than just an “This is bad, do something” type report. I am sure it took time and effort to do all of this but, in the long run you will see better results than just cussing, calling names, and making idle threats against the site/page owner.
The quick fix of screaming, showing your friends so they can scream will NOT help the animal abuser get caught or punished. The only thing that type of action will do is make you feel as if you did something but, it won’t help anyone or animals.
So please go to the site linked above and book mark it and all the links talked about so, you have it if and when you see a site that you need to report. Take the time to do it the right way.
