I know that there are many organizations set up to help the people of Japan recover from the tsunami and they are doing a great job at getting the word out. What many have been asking for is how to get help to the animals that survived the tsunami.
Discovery.com has put up a list of 6 organizations that are set up and accepting donations so you can help the animals of the Japan tsunami. I fully trust the list since it is being published by such a reputable site. Many other listings I have seen are from organizations that I know nothing about and are not being vouched for by reputable places.
Here is a video that I saw yesterday showing some reporters out looking at the damage and come across a dog that has survived. The 1 dog seems, to me, to be asking the people to come and help its friend who is sick or injured.
It is so sad to think of all the life lost from the tsunami. Yes, I worry about the people and the pets. Being an animal lover I think that pets play a huge role in helping people heal after anything bad happens. I also think that the animals rely on us humans to help them.
So if you would like to find a way to donate to the animal relief efforts…Visit 6 Ways You Can Help Animals In Japan. You will see that there are also organizations that will be helping in the search and rescue efforts. Search and rescue dogs can do amazing things that humans can not do alone.
Please make sure you share this post (tweet, facebook, email..) with your friends and family that would also like to help. No donation is to small.

I urge you to make a donation (ANY amount). I have checked out these two charities. They are legit. They are directly involved in animal rescue in Tsunami hit areas:
1. Animal Refuge Kansai through Paypal

2. HEART Tokushima
