We all know that sometimes animals fight back against threats and sometimes they get the best of the attacker. After reading the story I saw today, I have no urge to attack an animal even if I am the one that starts out with the upper hand and a gun.
A hunter was in Belarus (near the boarder of Poland) hunting fox when he kind of became the hunted. Many hunter go to the Belarus area to hunt boar, wolves, elk, and fox. The hunter probably thought he was going to have himself a trophy to hang on his wall when he shot a fox. Problem was that he did not kill it immediately. The hunter, who is to embarrassed to have his name printed, decided he would just chase the fox down and beat it to death. Guess he didn’t have a club and for some reason he didn’t want to just shoot it again at close range. The really smart hunter proceeded to beat the fox with the butt of his gun. But, ya know that fox wasn’t just going to roll over and die. Nope, it put up a fight. As the fox and the hunter kind of struggled…the fox grabbed the gun, took it away from the hunter. No not really, foxes can’t do that. What they can do is fight with their paws and get lucky enough to pull the trigger. Yes, the fox shot that hunter.
Oh, that is just to funny. The fox did get away because the hunters buddies had to rush hi to an ER. We will never know if the fox died from his injuries but, if he dies he may feel a bit vindicated.
If you go to Fox Shoots Hunter in Belarus, you will see a few other stories where an animal has shot a person. They only have a few listed and I know there are many many more.
You’re right this isn’t funny. The man could have been killed. Oh wait…I think lots of animals should be armed during hunting season.
