We all know that teenagers tend not to think all the time. We also remember that when it was getting close to summer break…the prankster came out in us all.
I’m just glad that I was not a kid that was as stupid as 7 teenage boys in New Jersey. The teens broke into Morris Knolls High School through a window. They then took animals (rabbits, mice, roosters and chickens) that they had stolen from farms and put the poor critters in the ceiling of the school. I’m sure that may have been funny to some people but, I bet the boys that did it aren’t laughing now.
A janitor at the school called police after seeing people in the building. Yes, the police picked up the kids and now they face a few charges like burglary, criminal mischief and conspiracy. They could also be charged with Animal Abuse since at least 1 of the animals was hurt after falling through the ceiling.
I think anytime you want to pull a “senior prank” you should be smart enough not to hurt any animals. I’m betting that is the one that people will go nuts on. So what if you went in an open window at the school…just don’t steal an animal and then let it get hurt.
I think a fitting punishment might be to have these boys work on a farm all summer…it would burn off their excess energy so they would be to tired at the end of the day to be bothering anyone.
