A landlord near Goodyear, Arizona has found himself with property full of abandoned animals.
I’m sure when a landlord evicts someone from a property they expect them to take all of their belongings, especially their pets. Well, that didn’t happen in this case. The renter left 40 dogs (mostly puppies) and 20 cats.
Sure you might think that the animals left behind could just go to the shelter as abandoned pets…not in this case. The law in Maricopa County says that the landlord becomes the new owner of the animals if a renter leaves them behind.
Thankfully the shelter did agree to take in the animals but, they are like many others around the country and are already over crowded. If you live in the area and have been looking for a new furry family member be sure to stop in at the shelter. They have lots of great pets looking for a new family to love.

I am so sick and tired of people discarding animals as if they are trash. If they can’t care for them or take them with them when they move then it is their RESPONSIBILITY to find those animals a home! People like this are pathetic and have no decency, morals or anything else. Shame on them!
