Many people attend all types of dog shows and events that are just for fun. Lots of these events will have dogs of every shape and size of about every breed you can think of. You know people love to show of their furry friend. At some events you have people that show how well trained their dogs are, how cute, or maybe the dog just lays there are the owners are happy to have the world mellowest dog. Lots of your local family type dog events do have a message about rescuing shelter animals, spay and neuter….Well, Las Vegas is getting ready to have a very special dog event to bring awareness to a certain type of dog.

On October 23, 2010 the Las Vegas area will be showing of some of there finest 4 legged residents. Get ready to find out how wonderful the bully breeds of Nevada are. To celebrate national Pit Bull Awareness Day there will be a big party…a pit party to be more specific.

What is great about this event is people will get to show their bully dogs off as wonderful loving members of their family. The event is to give these dogs a chance to get some great press. Come out and see some great dogs that have been trained and loved by real people that understand what it is to be a responsible dog owner.

Lets be truthful, any dog can be mean. From tea cup poodles to a giant Saint Bernard will be gentle and loving or vicious and it depends on how they are treated as to where they end up.

So, lets help promote responsible ownership for all dogs. Lets not pull out 1 breed and ban them because people are not doing their job as owners.

If you will be in the Henderson or Las Vegas area on Oct. 23 stop out and see what people would be missing if the bully dogs were banned. National Pit Bull Awareness Day! The event is free so hope you can come out!

Now here is a video that all the pitty people will love. I want everyone to see these super sweet dogs.
Pit Bull Blues by John Shipe

Here’s Your Sign – Up until my daughter was about 4 years old we had a pit bull and we took her to pit shows every chance we got. We saw pits that were smart, loving, and wonderful family members. Our little pit Tess, would pull my daughter around the yard in a tire while wearing a special made harness. Tess also had no problem snuggling up on the couch to watch cartoons, taking a nap in a pile of stuffed animals, and she was also patient about getting dressed up by my daughter.

These bullies come in all shapes, sizes, and colors…and they are like every other dog…they want to be loved.
