Two locations in Las Vegas are holding a first time Halloween event to help Adopt a Rescue Pet. Instead of kids going out asking for candy, this event is asking that you stop by and drop of some special things for rescued animals.
You can stop by the Petsmart on Rainbow and Lake Mead or at Petco on Craig and Martin Luther King Blvd and leave your donation Saturday or Sunday October 30-31, 2010.
Now, no need to think of those animals eating all that chocolate. The event is asking for donations of pet food, dog or cat toys, pet beds, blankets or towels. You know, all the things that will help the rescue keep the pets save, fed, and comfy.
I know that not everyone will be able to make it to those two locations but, still may want to go out and meet some cool pet people. Well, there are a few other animal related things happening Saturday October 30th, that may just be closer to you.
If you have a ferret and think he’s fast…here is a really fun event for you. In fact, if you don’t have your own ferret but, would like to find out more about them and participate…they have ferrets for you too.

See, there are a few great places to visit this weekend and meet some wonderful animals and the people who love them. I may have to run down to the ferret races…I have never seen them and think it will be funny as all get out. I just have to remember not to bring one home. LOL!
Have fun and remember to keep your pets safely tucked away from all the goblins, monsters, and even those cute princesses.
