Last month we reported on a story about two camels and a Bengal Tiger that were stolen in Quebec Canada Titled Trailer with 2 Camels and 1 Tiger Still Missing in Ontario. The animals were being transported to Bowmanville, Ont., after a stint with a circus in Nova Scotia, when their trailer was stolen. A Man was finally charged in tiger, camels theft.

The animals were found not far from where the abduction took place in a barn after raiding a farm outside Drummondville, Que.. The Bengal tiger, Jonas was kept in his cage and lived on cat kibble during the four days he and the camels, Shawn and Todd were held captive by the thieves. They are all in great shape because if the care they received.

The 22 year old man Mathieu Bussières was not only charged with possessing stolen property but these actions also are a breach of his parole. A 44 year old person of interest was also arrested but released.

The disappearance of these animals on June 18 made headlines around the world. Their keepers at the Bowmanville Zoo pleaded for their return and that they be given water.
Bowmanville Zoo director believed that the crime was a crime of opportunity and the thieves more than likely would have been much happier with an empty trailer. The animals are doing extremely well and are now safe at home.
