Beautiful Dog Needs a Home.

This 10 year old black Dachshund, called Mochie, needs a “forever family.” After he was left alone when his owner died, he was taken to a shelter. CTDR decided he was a soul worth saving so he was taken to the Highway 620 animal clinic, where Dr Boulay and staff performed a thorough examination. Unfortunately, it not only revealed he had an ear infection, but also a lump on his front right paw pad. Further investigations confirmed it was a tumour.
One of the Veterinary Technicians felt compelled to take him into her care to see him through treatment. Later, complications developed and the only option to save his life was to amputate. It was a life or death decision, and Dr Boulay felt it was worthwhile to go ahead. Within an hour he was on the operating table!
After being in a great deal of pain, once the dog had recovered from the operation, he had a new lease of life and was happier than before. Mochie runs around on three legs and you wouldn’t know that he’d been through such an ordeal!
He had x-rays taken to ensure the cancer hadn’t spread to other parts of his body, and these will be repeated periodically.
Now, following the efforts of this wonderful team, all Mochie needs is a new caring home for the rest of his years. Can you help, or do you know anyone who can? – Give a doggie a home!

O.K. I’m crying here! Mochie looks EXACTLY like my very best friend Fritz who died of old age in my arms 5 yrs. ago. I really hope someone adopts this dog. He’s adorable and very brave. I would suggest a long haired dachshund to anyone.
