The Humane Society of The United States has put out its first report card on how the Obama administration is handling Animal Welfare issues.
Obama has been in the Presidents seat for just shy of 1 year. I am sure he has a few other very important things to deal with but, we can hope that Animal Rights is something high on his list.

A few of the things mentioned in the report are;
*Closing the Loophole for the slaughter of Downed Cows,
*Enforced the Animal Welfare Act while dealing with a Texas Exhibitor,
*Addressed issues with Sharks, Polar bears, & Constrictor snakes…
*Delete a one year study that involved feeding pesticide chemicals to dogs in order to assess human health risks.
*Banned the sale of Videos depicting animal cruelty.
These are just a few off the report.

The Needs Improvement is actually a hot topic right now – Wild Horses – Adopted a five-year strategic plan that promises a more humane and effective approach to control wild horse populations, but then announced plans to removed 12,000 wild horses from Western rangelands during 2010.
Today Wild Horse advocates held placards and waved down motorists to protest a federal roundup. The article Wild Horse Advocates Protest BLM Roundup Monday tells how other protest & some big names are getting involved.
I think the White House should put these horses on their to do list fast. People are getting outraged & if it’s not dealt with fast…There will be no more wild horses left.
