Looks like PETA has way more insiders than Wikileaks. PETA is at the top of the list when it comes to finding whistle blowers.
This out today in Animal News. An insider has given PETA information about believed animal abuse at The University of Texas medical branch in Galveston. The insider has said that animals being housed there and used for testing are being put through undue pain and stress. If what was reported in the Houston Press article PETA’s New Target: UT-Medical Branch in Galveston, is true then yes there is a problem.
I can understand some animal testing but, there is no need for most test places do. They also do not need to leave an animal in pain or let them die from neglect.
When you visit the above article you can also see the complaint PETA filed with the USDA about UTMB. Also beware that some of the abuses the University is being accused of is really pretty sicking. I hate to think that educated people would do those things, yet we see it happen time and time again.
Do no rush to judgment based on a paid ‘insider’. I would trust the results of a thorough investigation by an outside agency before the untrue allegations of an agenda driven PETA agent. The object of this exercise is to gain publicity for PETA to raise funds. This is nothing about the truth or helping animals.
