If you are boating in Lake Calcasieu in Louisiana you might think you have had to much to drink. It’s not a pink elephant like the old saying but…it is a pink dolphin.
A very rare albino dolphin has been spotted several times swimming with his/her pod in the lake north of the Gulf of Mexico.
I can’t find the reference at this time but, I have read before that albino dolphins may turn pink due to sun burn…that will have to be figured out by the experts. ;)
If I were to just see the photo they have on the story at Pink dolphin appears in US lake, I would be screaming…Photoshop. Yet, there have been other articles & photo’s saying that this cool critter really does exist.
I hope fishermen & boaters take extra precautions to leave this animal alone. It would be a shame for something to happen to them.
