Near Houma, Louisiana there have been 2 little white alligators found out in the Mandalay National Wildlife Refuge.

The pictures of these guys would make you say, “aww, how cute”. They look like they have smiles on their freckled faces. I am sure the cuteness will be gone in no time. They are true gators & will not stay small.

They are living in the Audubon Zoo. This zoo has been home to all 18 gators with this genetic disorder ( leucism). Leucisum is a genetic condition which reduces skin pigment. The zoo still has 10 of these gators & will be able to let the babies join the big guys in a couple of years. They have to make sure the babies are larger, otherwise they will be a snack. Gators do not really care what they eat, even rare white babies.

You have to go see these pics – White gators – the rarest creatures in the world – found in swamp land by fisherman
The last picture is the cutest.
