Today I found 2 stories about the Search and Rescue Dogs in Haiti. These dogs are working hard with their handlers to find people and save lives.
The 1st dog is Hunter, who found 3 girls in the rubble near the Presidential Palace. He worked with his owner, a firefighter by the name of Bill Monahan. You can see Hunter and a video about how he was trained at Search dog finds 3 girls alive in Haiti.
The 2nd story is about Chase and Striker.
Almost 2y/o Michelle was trapped and may have not been fond if not for the Search and Rescue Dogs. She had been trapped for 5 days under enough debris that no one would have seen her.
From the post – That unit worked side-by-side with the team from France. They couldn’t hear a thing. But the dogs knew better.
