We always find sharks fascinating when it comes to animal news. Most people hear the work shark and think of big mean killing machines. Who knew that some sharks really have no urge to kill you? In fact some sharks seem to careless that you even exist. Or if they do care it is just out of curiosity or even the fact that you are in their water.

Now that you have that Jaws Theme song playing over and over in your head….you can go over to What Do You Know About Sharks, and read a little about not only the big tooth filled sharks but also so that are harmless or to small to even be a threat.

I of course will not be swimming in the ocean for awhile so, I can read shark info and not have any fear of it cutting into my weekend plans. If it was summer here, that may be a different story. Thankfully the story linked above states that 90% of those attacked by sharks survive. I will just hope that if I am ever attacked…I am not in that 10% that doesn’t survive. I also wonder if having a heart attack from all out fear could be just as deadly as actually being bitten by a shark?

While living in Florida, we often saw small sharks in the water with us. They may bump into you or brush your leg but, that was about it.

Oh well, my bathtub should be shark free…I’ll just be swimming there for the time being.
