Today in animal news there is yet another case of animals in a zoo that has people mad.
The ‘Siddharth Garden’ in Mhada Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India had an issue with a food shortage for the animals in their care. They somehow mismanaged the food and animals were left for 2 days with nothing to eat.
The zoo was established in 1984 with just a few animals and has since grown. They house Lions, Tigers (White & Bengal), Leopards, Crocodiles, Snakes, Civet Cats, Hyena, Fox, Porcupine, Emu, Deers, Sloth Bear and more. The information I found said the zoo was about 17 acres but they have already added land or are in the process of getting more area. They also have a theater that shows wildlife movies to help educate people about the various animals.
The gardens and zoo has continued to draw in crowds and revenue for the area. This is probably why it has made people so angry that the animals were not fed. To many places are looking at the money coming in but put the animals care further down the list.

I hope this was just a terrible mistake and it doesn’t happen again.
