Most of us know that playing with animals and drinking alcohol don’t always make a good past time. Most of us also know that animals in a zoo are wild even if they seem cute and cuddly and maybe someone would think they had lost a bit of the wild after being in captivity and around people but…that is not usually the case. While some wild animals in the zoo may be accustomed to a caregiver even then, they are still wild and need to be taken seriously.
Apparently a man visiting the Sorocaba Zoo in Brazil didn’t understand any of the above. The man had been drinking and decided that he wanted to visit the spider monkeys. Now, he didn’t just go to the zoo and look at them like most (sober) people. Nope, he decided to get in their enclosure. He even swam across the water barrier so, he could join his furry friends. Only problem was is that that the spider monkeys were not so happy to see him.
I’m thinking these animals took one look at him and decided to they didn’t need a village idiot. One of the monkeys grabbed the guy and gave him a really nice bite on the arm. Gosh, I hope they had their shots. Oh, I’m not worried about the guy getting a germ from the monkeys…I’m worried they may catch something from the guy.
Bet when the guy sobered up, he was really glad that he entered the spider monkeys habitat rather than an even more dangerous animal that would have ripped him to pieces.
Anyway, you can pop over to the Daily Mail to see their story and some pics of the guy getting chomped. So pop on over to check it out zoo visitor ends up in hospital.
