Here is a look at why the fastest animal on land can do what it does. The Cheetah is built for speed! Everything about this animal is like it is just for speed.
While some big cats have all over strength and are much more powerful than the cheetah, they are like big slow cats. Sure, if they could catch a cheetah they could easily over power it. The problem is they would be left in the dust before they could get close.
From the size of their head to the length of their tail is all designed to help them be fast and agile. Their coloring is even designed for the great predator. Those black stripes under their eyes are not just to make them look cute…they have a purpose.

I just hope that I am never out and need to run from one of these animals…there is no way to get my scrawny little legs to move my big butt at 70 MPH. I’d be lunch.
