The Release of 2 Nile Crocodiles

There are all types of animal rescues. Most times we may think of cats or dogs having rescue groups but, today there is a great story about 2 Nile Crocodiles that were rescued from the meat trade.

These 2 lil crocodiles have been living at the Limbe Wildlife Centre. On December 14th they were ready for release back into the wild. As you may guess it is not just a case of taking them out & opening a cage door.

Nile Croc’s have to be caught & prepped for their trip. Keeping the animal & people safe can be a feat on its own. As you can see in the photo’s in the article Nile Crocodiles Released, just getting to the release site can be an issue as the roads are not really what I would drive. Then there is the fact that if you are going to put these animals in their natural habitat…there will be other croc’s around & they might be hungry. In the last picture of the post, they show one of the rescue workers standing in the river watching as one of the croc’s swims off. A river known to have crocodiles in it just isn’t were you would likely find me.

Thank God there are people doing great things for animals at Limbe Wildlife Centre!
