Normally when you hear about a circus coming to town, you think of families lining up at the Big Top to see performances. But, what if there is no place to set up the Big Top?
What if a circus pulls into a place like Joplin, Missouri? Families there need a bit more help than a day at the circus. They have so much tornado debris that they are to busy cleaning to take a day off.

Sure a circus could volunteer their man power to help clean but, men can only do so much. Even a HUGE guy can’t move a car or big polls that have been downed. Hmmm, what if the circus did have something that could move polls and cars with no problem? Say they had elephants that would be able to hook up and move big objects?

Well, that is exactly what happened. The Piccadilly Circus hit Joplin, MO and pulled out their big guns to work. There wasn’t anywhere to preform so, they let the elephants show off their massive abilities by moving the stuff that would take 10 or more men just to budge.

Here is a video of some one of the Piccadilly Circus Elephants at work in Joplin!

I am sure that the elephants enjoyed a day off from their regular routine. The families of Joplin may have also enjoyed getting to see something that most people don’t. Elephants not standing on their heads but rather working as they might in places like India.

Although I am not a fan of wild animals in circus’, I am glad that they found away to show off more natural talents the elephants have.
