The news has been filled with speculation as to why birds have just been falling out of the sky’s in Arkansas and Louisiana. Now the number of dead birds in this story today are not near as high but just as puzzling.

3 Whooping Cranes have been found dead in Calhoun County Georgia. You may not think 3 is enough birds to worry about but these birds are thought to be part of a reintroduction program. You also have to think about the fact that Whooping Cranes are on of the most endangered birds in the USA. So, even 3 being found dead in the same area is a big deal.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources along with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife are conducting autopsies. I just hope that they give a better answer than the ones we have been hearing from the mass deaths of the blackbirds.

Got any guesses as to why so many animals are dying under odd circumstances?

When a few die or several over time, I would say it is all the pesticides, chemicals, and medications in the water supplies and GMO foods. The case last week where masses just fell out of the sky baffles me other than it is most likely a man made problem.

UPDATE 1/4/11

If you have any information as to who is responsible for killing these birds please contact The Fish and Wildlife Service ot the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. There is a reward being offered for information in the amount of $12,500.
