Many people are aware that companies still do product and research testing on animals. Those same people normally hate that the animals are abused for the testing. In fact many of the test have been done over and over by different companies that just refuse to use the old test results instead of putting more animals through the punishment. Like was talked about in Reusing Animal Testing Stats.
When a company hires a lab that gets investigated we see things come to light that many people would just choose to ignore since they like having the product be “safe” before they get it (smart people know that the animals in the test are not the same as humans DUH). If a company chooses a lab like the one that recently closed its doors after being found to cause even more misery to the animals (PETA Films North Carolina Animal Testing Lab Abuse) not only does the lab get a really bad name but, so does the brand name product that hired them and ordered the test.
So what companies still use animals for testing?
Would you stop using their products if you knew they did animal testing? But, what if it was your favorite brand of perfume, body spray, deodorant, dish soap, or even tissues? Would you change to an animal friendly brand?
Here’s the test…over on the site Companies that (still) test on animals, you will find a HUGE list of companies that STILL test on animals. You may even be shocked at the brand names…anyway, take a look at the list and see how many of these brand names you have in your house…come back and tell us if you are willing to give up those brand of products.
